Safe Injection Practices Toolkit
Details
Safe injection practices (SIP) are the processes health care providers use to prevent the transmission of bloodborne viruses and other microbial pathogens to patients or the providers themselves when preparing and administering injectable medications. The Safe Injection Practices Toolkit contains evidence-based research, a risk assessment checklist, a training plan, and a list of references to help organizations enhance their injection protocols.
AAAHC toolkits are designed to be educational and functional. Each toolkit contains evidence-based information related to a specific topic relevant to surgical/procedural and/or primary care practices. The publications also include a tool, such as a checklist, patient assessment, or algorithm which may be used to enhance processes and procedures in your organization. If you are interested in purchasing bulk quantities (50 or more), please contact AAAHC at 847.853.6060.
