Pain Management Toolkit
Details
The Pain Management Toolkit provides organizations with current information and tools to achieve consistent, standardized processes, and key considerations which may assist providers in making decisions about managing patient pain. The toolkit emphasizes important issues associated with care transitions for surgical and primary care environments, highlighting the prevalence of opioid prescriptions and outlining nationally recommended actions for both opioids and their alternatives. Covering both the management of chronic pain and acute surgical- or procedural-related pain and post-operative pain management, the toolkit can be used to help drive quality improvement in both surgical and primary care practices.
AAAHC toolkits are designed to be educational and functional. Each toolkit contains evidence-based information related to a specific topic relevant to surgical/procedural and/or primary care practices. The publications also include a tool, such as a checklist, patient assessment, or algorithm which may be used to enhance processes and procedures in your organization. If you are interested in purchasing bulk quantities (50 or more), please contact AAAHC at 847.853.6060.
